Freezing the cat

Day one of Chinese New Year, Aunty upstairs caught me at the lobby and complained that my air-conditioner is too loud and causing her and post-heartattack husband discomfort. She repeated herself 5 times of course, driving me nearly mad. She has already complained to my landlord months ago, several times, without any results, could I kindly not use the air-conditioner? To end that painful conversation, I agreed. Some people just don't appreciate that the 1st day of Chinese New Year is not the best time to harrass lonely people who already have no single trace of Chinese New year mood in them.

Therefore me, and the cat Mon, are freezing our toes off. Poor her. I wear socks and jumper, but she's only got her fur coat on.

It is a really cold New Year. It actually snowed on the 1st day of New Year's day. Pity it was too cold for me to do anything with the snow.

Hiding in the office now. At least it's warm. Poor Mon's still freezing at home. Hope that the hooded vest I knitted her is keeping her warm.

talk about the weather

Interesting weather. It was nice and warm at around 0-17DC on the weekend and monday, but from tuesday, it just plunged suddenly to the range of 0-4DC. We've had wind or rain, but luckily so far, not both, and a short period of ice rain.

However, good thing about this cold weather is that it is not easy to get fat, even after nights and nights of pasta and heavy NY dinner.

home from home

Happiness, to be waking up in warm soft blankee and having soft yellow lights filter from the living room through the tempered glass in the bedroom. On the window sill, a pink pig spits nice cool mists into the air.
I've moved into my permanent home in Shanhai! The beauty of it is that Singapore is just 3 mins away! You see, I found raffles city, and it's just like raffles city in sg, never mind that it's so crowded i can take someone's eye out just by accidentally swinging my hand. The food court sells laksa and the likes for 4 sgd! and the best thing is they give away fa piao!
Subway for 4 different lines converge at the train station under the mall.
Across that road is Nanjing Road. Nothing more one can ask for really, for a rent of 7000 RMB
