Freezing the cat

Day one of Chinese New Year, Aunty upstairs caught me at the lobby and complained that my air-conditioner is too loud and causing her and post-heartattack husband discomfort. She repeated herself 5 times of course, driving me nearly mad. She has already complained to my landlord months ago, several times, without any results, could I kindly not use the air-conditioner? To end that painful conversation, I agreed. Some people just don't appreciate that the 1st day of Chinese New Year is not the best time to harrass lonely people who already have no single trace of Chinese New year mood in them.

Therefore me, and the cat Mon, are freezing our toes off. Poor her. I wear socks and jumper, but she's only got her fur coat on.

It is a really cold New Year. It actually snowed on the 1st day of New Year's day. Pity it was too cold for me to do anything with the snow.

Hiding in the office now. At least it's warm. Poor Mon's still freezing at home. Hope that the hooded vest I knitted her is keeping her warm.

I told the agent about it and he was quite helpful. He said, if I can't hear the air-con, which is right outside the window, how can the lady above hear it?! so he told me to just ignore and turn it on.

On the other hand, i discovered this treasure in my kitchen, an oil heater! It makes no noise, but warms the room up pretty nice. hee hee hee
